Christina Mallet, Our Producer

A film producer and photographer with a background in teaching in inner-city schools, Christina’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to found and run a successful photography studio in Seattle, for more than 10 years.

In 2014, Christina and her Ghanaian-German husband and their two children left the United States for South Africa. Two years later, they enjoyed a two-year stay in Luxembourg before making their final move to Berlin Germany, in 2018.

Christina founded Bearlift Films with Nathan Buck in 2019 with the goal of producing high quality, independent, arthouse feature films. The company seeks international co-production partners and actively develops a wide range of international projects. She is particularly interested in developing stories that have an African focus. “Before El Finâ”, Christina’s debut feature, completed principal photography in the summer of 2019.
